.......Described the Punch Newspaper publication on the 3rd of November report on Ibasha, Ijegun—Egba as false and misleading.

The family of Aina Jagun of Ijegun—Egba has appealed to Governor Babajide Sanwoolu and the Lagos State House of Assembly LASHA to rescue them from the family of Agbojojoye who has been threatening their lives with armed policemen and thugs after getting a local crown from Oriade local government area to become the Baale of Ijegun Egba area of Lagos state.

They also accused the Agbojojoye family of using both policemen and naval officers with thugs after dubiously getting a local crown from Oriade Local Government Area, They also accused the Agbojojoye family of Ibasa of using some uniform men of the Nigeria Navy and police force with some unknown hooligans to disrupt activities at the market and environment.

Over the years, It is in records that Ibasa has been victimizing the people of Ijegun—Egba and terrorizing their lives in a bid to take over Ijegun—Egba following the landscape of Ijegun Egba which riverine has separated them from one another, but the Ibasa people always invade Ijegun Egba to forcefully acquire their lands because Ibasa lands has been sold to the people leaving no other land left for them.

Hence , The Aina-Jagun Chieftaincy Family are the legal and rightful owners of all the expanse of land at Ijegun -Egba and which position hadbbeen confirmed in the Lagos State Archives and also in the Judgment delivered by Hon. Justice O. Atinuke Ipaye (Mrs.) on the 29th day of February, 2012 with Suit No: ID/697/1994 Between Prince Dele Ajiboye Vs. Mr. Adisa Olaewe & 6 Ors.

The Ijegun—Egba people have a shrine which is the traditional evidence that they are the rightful owner of the Ijegun—Egba and its environment, which is the more reason the Ibasa people want to take over the shrine and dominate the entire village, to actualize the dream, they secured the installation of a baale from Ibasa in Ijegun Egba with the assistance of Chairman of Oriade local government, which further exposed their level of desperation, they also build their Baale's house right in front of the shrine to prevent the people of Ijegun—Egba from having access to the shrine and the entire village.

The Ibasa people according to the investigation have been victimizing the Ijegun people for decades because of their connection with the government of Lagos State and beyond.

Recently, to report about the invasion and the misconduct of the people in Ibasa for prompt intervention with unknown land grabbers suspected to be working for the Ibasa people with the help of the policemen arrested people without committing any offenses while some of them (Ijegun—Egba people) were sent to prison which made the concerned people petition the Inspector General of Police IGP and the Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Zone 2 Onikan to report about the invasion and the misconduct of the police in Ibasa for prompt intervention.

Our correspondent while conducting an in -depth investigation speaks with Hon.Ayinde Saheed,a former councilor of the ijegun constituency, also a son of the late Baale of ijegun/ ibasa who said the landed property belongs to the Aina Jagun family with documentation evidence.

Meanwhile, He described the newspaper publication on Punch newspaper on the 3rd of November 2023 reporting that the Aina Jagun invaded the Ijegun—Egba community with hoodlums as false information and sponsored. "HOW COULD WE POSSIBLY INVADE OUR OWN HOMES? the Agbojojoye family invaded ijegun egba community, we own Ijegun—Egba and they are from Ibasa." The Ijegun—Egba were very peaceful without any activities of attack on any persons until the Navy officers and unknown hoodlums sent by the Agbojojoyefamily invaded tIjegun—Egbagba community and destroyed their shrine and laid siege on the community to forcefully take over the land that doesn't belong to them.

He further noted that the Ibasa people cross the river which is the boundary between Ijegun and ibasa to trespass their land.

"Our grandfather sold the land to Alhaji Mutairu Owoeye when he was still a serving military personnel but to our surprise, the land was tampered with by the Agbojojoye family, there is a need for someone to react if his property is being tampered with and that is what brought about this media interview," Said Ayinde Saheed.

Notable elders men and women in the community tripped out to testify to the ownership of the landed property while mentioning the atrocities committed by the police, naval officers, and hoodlums led by the members of the Agbojojoye family of Ibasa to forcefully take over our inheritance belonging to the Aina—Jagun family.

They appealed to Governor Babajide Sanwoolu, Lagos State House of Assembly, LASHA speaker, Rt. Honorable Mudashiru Obasa and the Inspector General of Police to come to their aid and investigate the matter and bring the culprit to book in other to restore peace and order in ijegun Egba and its environment
