Mr Paul Omotosho(Gboyin Local government Chairman) and Prince Olatunji Olatunde

The residents of Imesi-Ekiti, Gboyin local government community in Ekiti state has dragged the leaders of All Progressive Congress (APC), in the mud over alleged imposition of Kingmakers after declaring the stool vacant by the executives.

The residents during a protest withdrew their support for the Olatunji family after being imposed on the Imesi-Ekiti residents.
According to the inscription on their placards the residents are throwing their weight behind the Agunsoye family as they described the family tenure as a peaceful one.

The Community and the  Agunsoye family condemned this action.
The residents during a protest had declared that Olatunji Olatunde is not a candidate for the vacant stool nor a member of the ruling house .
Crisis rocked Imesi Ekiti in Gboyin Local Government Area on Thursday May 14th 2020 when the members of the police and Army Squard stormed the village to nominate warrant chiefs for the selection of the new Onimesi. This action was to scare the Community and the Agunsoye Ruling house members from reactions.

This vicious action was championed by the APC Chairman   Paul Omotosho.

The Agunsoye family of Imesi Ekiti in Ekiti Local Government had also condemned and express displeasure at the actions of the Ekiti State Excecutive Council and  APC Chairman Paul Omotosho over the suspension of the 4  Kingmakers and installation of warrant chiefs .This act is illegal and unconstitutional.
The Agunsoye Ruling House plea to the Excecutive Governor of Ekiti State Kayode Fayemi  to review the suspension of the Kingmakers of Imesi-Ekiti because the move is political inflicted by the enemies of the governor.

The Head of Agunsoye Ruling House and Secretary, Prince Adu Fasunlade and Sesan Aladesanmi, had in a publication accused the APC chairman of complicity, imposition and undue influence in the obaship tussle.
The report, published on November 4, 2019 was considered defamatory, injurious, false, malicious, unjustified and harmful to the APC chairman, who demanded its immediate retraction and N500, 000,000 in damages from the Agunsoye family.

According to the publication, the duo accused Omotosho of working in cahoots with some top hierarchy of the APC-led government to sabotage the selection processes, noting that the efforts of the kingmakers to install a new monarch were being frustrated by his ‘antics’.
It clearly stated the position of APC Chairman Omotosho to force his own candidate on the Agunsoye Ruling House.

In his response, Paul Omotosho denied the allegations and alleged threat to his life over the protracted obaship Tussle. In a petition dated November 5, 2019 and addressed to the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Asuquo Amba, Omotosho alleged that there was a plot to ‘assassinate’ him as a result of a publication by Agunsoye Ruling House indicting him of plotting to impose his anointed candidate, against the choice of the town.

The petition was written on Omotosho’s behalf by his counsel, Olatunbosun Otitoju and titled: “Threat to Life, Conduct Likely to Breach Public Peace and Criminal Defamation of Honourable Barrister Paul Omotosho”.

This is the same APC Chairman Omotosho that is leading the selection of the warrant Chiefs after using his position to cohot the Governor of Ekiti state and the Excecutive Council to suspend all the legitimate kingmakers who are alive and healthy to achieve their selfish aims
The Imesi Community and the Agunsoye Ruling house urge the Governnor and the Excecutive Council to stop  this action.

Currently there are 2 law cases against the warrant chiefs in court by the Agunsoye Ruling House to which they await the court ruling.
Therefore, it is unconstitutional to grant any permission for selection of warrant chiefs
The Governor and His excecutuve Council should follow the rules of law as demanded by our constitution.

NO ONE  IS ABOVE THE LAW !!!
