The Deputy Minority Whip of House of Representatives, Hon. Adekoya Adesegun Abdel-Majid appreciates Nigerians for their support and overwhelming applaud that followed his announcement by the Speaker of Federal House of Representatives as the Deputy Minority Whip of the 9th Assembly.
According to the press statement by Tayo N.O.K-Rufai (Beeko), legislative aide to Hon. Adekoya, he specifically single out the good people of Ijebu North/Ijebu East/ Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency for returning him to the green chamber because according to him "you can't place something on nothing". It is because he returned that the opportunity to become principal officer came.
He also thank his party, the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) for given him the opportunity to fly the ticket of the party again for the second time which prepared the ground for his emergence as Deputy Minority Whip.
Hon. Adekoya in the same vein commends the South West and Minority caucus in the House of Representatives for the trust reposed on him and pledged not to betray their trust.
He also specially thank the party BoT Chairman, Sen. Walid Jibrin and other BoT members, National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, Deputy National Chairman South , Elder Yemi Akinwonmi, National Secretary, Chief Eddy Olafeso and other NEC members.
He promise to continue to give his constituents effective representation and defend the constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria. He also pledge to always offer constructive criticism as an opposition leader and support Bills, Motions and policies that will promote Nigeria unity.
